New Age Carvings 2016

Its been a while since I have posted a Blogg on how the business is doing and believe me, there is allot to inform you all of.

Since May 2015, New Age Carvings has been growing in popularity both online and in retail outlets and it has been great to see it grow.  Items have been supplied to 2 retail outlets and an artisan outlet and all have been really successful and I hope to be able to maintain these outlets as suppliers.

There have been many new items made and sold and I have expanded my skill base by teaching myself painting on canvas.  Its been an interesting learning curve and feel it will be a great addition to my product range.

Along with the smaller items I have been producing, I have also taken on some new project pieces, A wolf Dream Catcher designed table, Celtic Knot work engraved table and my biggest commissioned items, a pirates themed Barrel Coffee table.  All of these items can be viewed on my website.

As ever, I am always looking to produce more of the bespoke items that can not be purchased elsewhere and continue to use reclaimed materials.  Its just amazing how many people throw perfectly good items out, good news for me and good new for my customers as I can continue to keep my prices reasonable.

My online store is up and running and I have had a great response from customers all around the world as well as here at home.  Although I never carry much stock, mainly due to space for storage here at home, the items I do carry are all bespoke.  Some of them are also available at Magik-Earth in Shirley, Southampton, the only New Age store in the area and fit in nicely with the other items being stocked.

I have recently purchased a van, so I am now able to deliver items to my local areas, mainly the larger items which can not be sent by couriers and that way, I can assure they will arrive safely.

On a sadder note, my precious little pal passed away in April which has left a large hole in my life.  He was 15 1/2 yrs old and we had a great life together.  Full of fun and bossiness he kept me going and gave me encouragement when I felt low.  I therefore felt I had to produce a memorial painting of him for myself and he is now in pride of place above my work area.

I will do another blogg at the end of this year, but for now I will leave you with some pictures of my latest items.

Thank you for reading this and I hope you continue to follow me and my business as it grows.

Steve

New Age Carvings in 2015

Hi everyone,

Its been quiet a while since I last posted anything and would like to
Update you on the progress of Newagecarvings.

There has been a big change to the website, now it is fully mobile and tablet friendly.

I have also launched a design your own plaque page, giving you the chance to order a plaque with a picture or design that you like.  The plaques will all be hand crafted and hand painted by me so its not just a printed plaque.

I have also changed the shop page to 'Latest Product' so you can see what is new along with a gallery link to all my other items that are available to purchase.

New Age Carvings Update - 18/11/20124

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the long break from posting something new, but New Age Carvings has been
really busy which is great news to report.

Where, do I start, I know, Facebook.

Well, I am totally amazed at how my Facebook page is being received and I had a goal of 1000 likes before this year is out, well, thank you to everyone for your continued support and really great comments I am pleased to announce that I am now reaching 2000 likes.  Totally blown away by its success to be honest but totally grateful too.  Thank you all :)

New Age Carvings has also taken to the air in the form of Twitter.  I haven't been registered for very long so progress is slow at the moment, however, I hope by people reading this, they will go in and follow me #NEWAGECARVINGS.  You will receive all my latest posts as they are made to Facebook so you will get to see new items or projects where ever you are.

I have been busy making new items too, some of you may have seen them as they have been posted up on Facebook, however, for those of you who haven't, here are a few of them.

New Age Carvings has also been out on the road and held a stall at the Wandering Witches fare in Waterlooville Community Centre on Sunday 16th November 2014.  It was a great event and it was so good to see so many stall holders and busy customers.  There was live entertainment in the form of live bands and the whole day was a great success.

I'd like to thank the Wandering Witches for arranging and running this great event and all of the people who came to see me and my items on the day.

As the Christmas season draws nearer, I will now be concentrating on making customer orders and new items for the new year, however, I will remain open for orders and requests throughout the festive period.

Well, I think that has brought things up to date for you all and once again, thank you everyone for your continued support.

Blessings
Steve

Stag and Wolf table 01/08/14

Stag and Wolf Coffee Table

I was given a commission to produce a coffee table with a a stags head on, a moon between the antlers and a wolfs head inside it.

Having hunted for an appropriate table and confirming the design with the customer, the project commenced.
The following images show the process I went through and the finished item.

I am also very pleased to say that the customer was really pleased with his purchase and it is now at its new home.

If you would like me to produce an item for you and include it to my blogg page, website and do a running progress on Facebook, please contact me at www.newagecarvings.com.

Thank you for your time and please tune in for further stories.
Regards
Steve
